Wish You Were Here!

Man! As times get tougher, it seems only the rich and spoiled are REALLY sweating going broke and losing out on room service‘«™for the rest of us, it's just another day in the 'hood! Ha!

Like a lot of Gente, I'm learning to do without my Starbucks and Krispy Kremes in the morning, my occasional trip to Vegas, and my former 252 channel premier Satellite TV service...and I'm not suffering like I thought I would.

As the weather gets better here in Califas, the Gente are living large and surviving, and doing so by stepping out locally and enjoying each other's company and the fine entertainment available in the Land of 1000 Dances.

...and it's not costing us the rent either!

Can't put a price on laughter, good times, good music, and good people‘«™even our new President is lightening it up with a few gigs in D.C.

‘«™meanwhile, back in the City of Angels on the west coast, where the weather is getting better:

As expected, Gilbert Esquivel's OLD SCHOOL COMEDY & MUSIC REVUE show at the Odyssey Grand Ballroom in Granada Hills was a sold out success. No brainer there! Laughter is one of the best medicines during hard times, and Gilbert is the Doctor! For info on future gigs: gnrentertainment@aol.com

As prayed for, singer BECKY CORDOVA of the COMPANY Band slugged it out with cancer for a second time and has come back stronger than ever, as evidenced by her strong performances this past weekend, culminating in a 1,000 person+ plus capacity crowd at the Santa Fe Springs swap meet where she rocked it hard for her faithful fans.
