Just a Little Bit of Yesterday, to Help Us Forget Today
Rock & Roll pioneers Marvin & Johnny remind us that it ain't all bad, and we've been here before, June 7

Alright already!...let me say it for those who can't politically correctly say it right now...or just won't...

Because of the current economy & the wars over in the Middle East...right now sucks! ...and it really sucks right now, too!
I talk with my man brother Al Carlos Hernandez up in Oakland, California... mi camarada Crazy Chuy Hernandez in Waxahachie, Texas,...homeboy Drez in New York City...Frank & the MYSTICS over in Miami, Florida...my friend Toby Walker in jolly old London, England...Japan's coolest cruiser Shin Miyata out in Tokyo, Japan...brave partners serving in uniform in the middle east...Hawaii's Salsa King buddy Rolando Sanchez in Honolulu...some foolish old buddies behind bars...homies & co-workers in everyday life...it just ain't better nowhere !
Yeah...times are tough, even the LAKERS lost a couple in the playoffs, and times aren't gonna get any better right away...but hey! We've been there before, right ?
C'mon, mi Gente!!
Who doesn't remember the draft? Viet Nam? Gas going up to $1.00 & over a gallon and putting us into shock for the first time in '77? Odd & even days ? Beirut? Gas lines? Prop 13 in '77 ? The U.S. bombing of Libya ? The Civil War in El Salvador? The Hughs Aircraft & the Ford, GM, and Toyota assembly plants closing down in California in 1980's? Panama? The L.A. Rams losing the only Super Bowl they were ever in? Genada? The first Gulf war of '92? The tragic loss of SELENA? Gov Pete Wilson and prop 187? The L.A. Riots of '92? The Northridge earthquake of '93? Gas going over $5.00 a gallon in California, summer of 2008?...
This could go on and on, but the fact is, we've survived before, and we'll survive again.
We're just made that way, here in the U.S.A.! Relax! There's too many rich people & too much wealth in this country, so we won't go broke or get taken over by another country should the bottom line ever become the "real" bottom line.
So we just gotta hang in there as the caca floats & floods up hill.....
That being said, knowing that most of it is out of our individual hands, our next thought usually drifts off to "Damn! I wish for the good old days." Times always seemed more simpler, more controlled, more sane, more safe, and less complicated back then, huh?...and we were YOUNGER, too!
Well...we can't bring back the times, but just for a little while...we can bring back the mood...and why waste time on a bad mood?
Summertime denotes a period of fun, freedom and youth in America, as most U.S. youths make or had their best memories in the summer (.....huh?....) that stay a lifetime.
That being said, FIVE STAR PRODUCTIONS PLUS proudly brings back the good old days for one summer night on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the A MI HACIENDA RESTAURANT GRAND BALLROOM in Pico Rivera, hoping you'll make some memory, or bring some back at their "IT'S SUMMERTIME" Show and Dance.

So let's get on with the business of living, loving, and dancing through hard times!
Step out and live !!
