Telemundo and Mun2 present 3rd Annual Descarga free summer concert series presented from City Walk at Universal

Now in its 3rd consecutive year "Descarga" has solidified its status as one of the leading outdoor free music events in Southern California, drawing over 70,000 fans by showcasing international, national, emerging talent and DJs performing at an outdoor stage in CityWalk.
Since its inception in 2007, "Descarga" continues to build on its overwhelming success delivering on its mission to provide Latino artists and audiences with the best in quality entertainment with a phenomenal promotional platform, becoming 'the must play concert series' for Latino artists touring in Southern California.
Kicking off on Sunday, July 12th, the Latino-geared sister networks and CityWalk will bring live musical performances to the stage in the heart of CityWalk featuring the hottest Latin sounds ranging from Cumbia, Sonidero, Reggaet??n, Pop, Alternative to Regional Mexican with a variety of artists that truly reflect the eclectic tastes and cultural tapestry of Southern California. "Descarga" will take place every Sunday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. over the summer through August 30th and will feature multiple musical performances, family-friendly entertainment including autograph signings by popular 'telenovela' actors & actresses plus contests and giveaways.

Hosted by Telemundo and mun2 on-air-talent, "Descarga" kicks off July 12th with a dose of high energy Cumbia rhythms from the renowned La Internacional Sonora Show and Caribbean Latin music collective Sonoclip. The two groups make an infectious concoction with La Internacional Sonora Show offering their legendary Cumbia 'sabor' and Sonoclip representing a unique fusion of tropical rhythms hailing from Venezuela, Colombia and Mexico.
The "Descarga" summer music lineup is sizzling featuring an array of musical guests --hailing from the United States, Mexico, Central & South America and Spain --that represent a wide range of music genres popular with Latino audiences. Telemundo and mun2 will keep the stage fresh with super star caliber talent such as: international recording artists: from Spain- Shaila Durcal (daughter of the late music legend Rocio Durcal) and Panamanian born Latino R&B/reggae Multi-Platinum & GRAMMY?® award winning recording artist Flex. The Pop music genre will be represented by Colombian popstress Fanny Lu and Denise Gonzalez.
Additional performances by Monte Carlo 76, Santero, Soy Disco plus Mucho Wednesday's DJs, will represent the unyielding bilingual sound of Los Angeles. Regional Mexican fans will be treated to a diverse mix of renowned Banda & Norte??o acts that include: television darlings Los Felinos De La Noche, renowned Banda Recoditos, Banda heartthrobs Yolanda Perez, Cesar Brizuela, Alex Alvarado plus high energy sounds from Los Rams de La Sierra and El G??ero y Su Banda Centenario, lastly fans of Tropical/Sonidero/Charanga rhythms can dance the night away to the sounds of Melissa y Su West Coast Swing, Grupo Nice, Grupo Naukalli and Son del Sur.
Additional Telemundo and mun2 talent scheduled as event hosts include Telemundo's Penelope Menchaca (12 Corazones), Jessie Camacho (Descontrol) as well as mun2's Yarel Ramos (Reventon) and Crash & Yasmin (The Chicas Project).
