In Loving Memory: Isaac Avila from Tierra

As a long time fan of Tierra..
It is sad to report that a member of the Tierra Family has passed away Sunday Aug 30, 2009.

I have seen Tierra perform many times through out my life,
have felt the music the spirit of the band.
"Together" always sounds good to me.
They are always there to perform for benefits of a worthy cause.

We the Tierra Family are devastated at the loss of our brother and former lead singer Isaac Avila, taken prematurely just before his 50th birthday. Isaac has enriched our lives with his talent, personality, humor, and his great outlook on life. Although we will miss him dearly, his strong spirit, and his music will live in our hearts throughout. We thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Tierra, the band named "Best R&B Vocal Group" by four leading magazines including Billboard. They started their career in East Los Angeles with a blend of rock, pop, jazz, R&B and salsa. The result was a Latin R&B rhythm which produced classics like "Together", "Gonna Find Her", "Memories" and "Zoot Suit Boogie". The band's quarter century commitment shows a dedication that can only be understood by listening to their smooth and soulful sounds. hank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
