Wine That is Fine at a Beach Within Reach

Charity has never tasted this good.

Do you love to taste wines from boutique wineries that are hard to find but exquisite? Do you love luxury hotels on the beach?

Well, who doesn't! That's why ?íD?¡a de los Vinos! will be an amazing event.

?íD?¡a de los Vinos! will feature luscious tastings from the finest wineries, paired with Casa del Mar's own exquisite gourmet recipes. Along with bringing together the best wines and foods, ?íD?¡a de los Vinos! will bring together community leaders and socially-conscious businesses to support and raise money for the programs of the California Hispanic Osteoporosis Foundation (CHOF).

?íD?¡a de los Vinos! will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the elegant Casa del Mar Hotel by the Sea, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World that is mere steps from the Santa Monica Bay.

And if you've ever tasted the creations of Hotel Casa del Mar's Executive Chef Michael Reardon, you know what heaven is. For this event he will make special food pairings with some of the best wineries from all over California:

Nevarez Vineyard
Alex Sotelo Cellars
Buehler Vineyards
St. Barth?®lemy Cellars
Chateau De Vie
Clos Solene
Frank Family Vineyards
Keever Vineyards
Laetitia Vineyard & Winer
Leonesse Cellars
Mariposa Wine Company
Mill?®sim?® Cellars
Stryker Sonoma Winery & Vineyards
Sunstone Winery
Sylk Cellars
Wiens Family Cellars

Also, these wineries, wine businesses, hotels and art galleries will participate -- including providing silent auction items that you can't get anywhere else:

Cakebread Cellars
Noir Food & Wine
Bennett Lane Winery
Carhartt Vineyard
Casa Del Mar
Chateau De Vie
Frank Family Vineyards
Muscardini Cellars
O'Shaughnessy Estate Winery
Wellington Vineyards
Whitehall Lane Winery & Vineyards
Andrew Weiss Gallery
Zichichi Family Vineyard

And it's for a great cause. Did you know that there are 1.6 million osteoporotic fractures annually compared to 250 thousand cases of breast cancer per year? Or that 1 in 5 of those that suffer a hip fracture will die within one year? Recent studies show a dramatic rise in osteoporosis among Latinos, California's fastest-aging population.

Therefore, CHOF is rasining money to support its programs and services that include advocacy, research, culturally appropriate education, and grassroots outreach, education, screening for at-risk patients and ultimately to prevent this disease that debilitates and can result in fatal outcomes.

So spend a few bones to help stop an epidemic (tickets can be purchased at .
