Para Los Ni??os immediately offering paid internships, transportation assistance, career advisement, workshops and more!

Para Los Ni??os Youth Workforce Services program can help!

Local young people, ages 18-21 who have already completed high school but are currently unemployed, are encouraged to contact Para Los Ni??os to enroll in its Youth Workforce Services program.

Funded by the City of Los Angeles with federal stimulus dollars, this program targets residents who live in the 90023, 90026, 90031, 90033, 90039, 90041, 90042, 90063 and 90065 zip codes. Eligible young people should contact Para Los Ni??os immediately.

The paid work experience will consist of 200 hours in a quality worksite, supportive services (bus pass, tokens, work attire, etc) and exposure to enhancement activities (green jobs, post-secondary education, work readiness workshops and financial literacy training).

Para Los Ni??os was established in 1980 in response to the plight of children living in Skid Row hotels. Today, in its 29th year of operation, Para Los Ni??os provides integrated educational and family support services to nearly 9,000 economically challenged children, youth and families throughout Southern California.

Education programs include early childhood services, Charter Schools (K-6), after-school enrichment, youth diversion and delinquency prevention, youth workforce services, and a life skills training and academic assistance program for transitioning foster youth.
