"Latinas can have celebrity style weddings too. We want to help them realize that chic is affordable," says Candice Lapin, founder of ParaTiNovia.com (pictured).
Finally, there is now a place where Latinas can plan the wedding they've always dreamed of.
ParaTiNovia.com is up and ready for those planning their big day without spending a fortune.
The Website a one stop solution to planning one of the most important days of a Latina's life. The site has useful tips that range from beauty, to decorations. Here users can create their own profile, personalize it and use it as a tool for planning every detail.
The website has many links to help ease the stress that comes with wedding planning. There visitors can find great florists, decoration ideas, beauty and dress ideas, and even tips on how stay physically fit for the big day.
What's the best part of all of the resources that are on the site? Founder Lapin won't include anything she or someone else working for her site hasn't tried first.
"We have a boot camp style exercise class that we recommend on the site," said Lapin. "I tried it out for myself before putting it up on the site. We don't suggest ideas or products unless we've tried them out first."
Lapin explained that the inspiration behind creating ParaTiNovia back in December of 2009, came after seeing friends and family go outside of their budget while planning parties, and ending up not being happy about it.
"I've seen a lot of people go outside of their budget while planning a party, and they end up feeling really uncomfortable because of that. It really can take away from enjoying whatever party you're planning," she said.
Lapin soon began showing friends and family how she planned attractive parties without burning a hole in her pocket. She soon realized that things can be easier and less expensive if bride-to-be just educate themselves on all of the options they have while planning.
For instance, she explained that Latinas can save a lot of money if you go out and do the majority of the things yourself. "You can go to a flea market and find flowers, vases and more decoration materials. Or shop around vintage stores and find an amazing dress for a really low price."
So for the Latinas out there planning a wedding, they don't have to sacrifice style, for money.
"Whether your budget is $5,000 or $15,000, our goal is to educate Latinas to plan ahead, save money and make their wedding unforgettable for everyone who attends." said Lapin.
