Director of Development PADRES Contra El C?íncer

Position Description:
The Director of Development will be planning, coordinating, implementing and tracking all PADRES Contra El C?íncer (PADRES) fundÔÇôraising activities. These programs include major giving, planned giving, grants (public and private), annual giving, workplace giving, direct mail, telemarketing, special events, and projects. The Director will work with the Chief Executive Officer to establish and implement PADRES' development strategies, measures of success and fundÔÇôraising goals. In addition, the Director of Development will also be responsible for drafting an annual development plan; Increase individual, corporate, private foundation and public agency giving by designing materials, programs, or events to support a variety of giving levels.

B.A. required (Masters preferred) and 4+ years of progressively responsible and wellÔÇôrounded experience in a development office [fundÔÇôraising and grant writing] for a nonÔÇôprofit organization; Have 2ÔÇô3 years of proposal writing experience; Have a proven track record in raising significant foundation, corporate and individual donor support; Have extensive knowledge of the Hispanic and General Market philanthropic community in southern California; Have Major Gifts experience involving both face ÔÇôtoÔÇô face solicitation as well as development of a systematic development program with an emphasis on building strong relationships with donors; Have experience in design, solicitation and implementation of a comprehensive development plan.
