Pray for Juarez Art Exhibit Opening Night

The Prayer for Juarez Art Exhibit opened on Saturday at CASA 0101.

The exhibit displayed unique artwork by several visual artists, all in honor of the atrocities that have occurred against the women of Juarez, Mexico.

Other displays like the Altar A Las Mujeres de Juarez (pictured) celebrated the lives of the women who were murdered.

Along with the art exhibit, a segment of poetry was also presented during the exhibit.

Poetry by Erick Huerta, Josefina Lopez, Judit Terzi all shared words expressing grief, love, and strength to an audience of over 100 people.

The art exhibit was part of the month long dedication CASA 0101 put on for the women and residents of Juarez, Mexico. Other events dedicated to the people of Juarez are still taking place including several more art exhibits as well as plays and group discussions.
