TV Stage Manager

We are Liberman Broadcasting, Inc. ("LBI") the largest privately-owned Spanish broadcasting company with TV and radio stations operating in Arizona, California, Colorado, Texas and Utah. We are seeking a TV Stage Manager for our TV programming. Successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the TV recording stages used in the making of company television shows. The successful candidate will possess initiative and drive, have broad relevant television stage and production knowledge with good management expertise and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Summary of essential job functions
The day-to-day functions include: Ensure that all equipment required for recordings are in their correct place, at the right moment and that scene changes take place smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities will also include the building, installation and dismantling of sets and technical equipment, prior to and after productions. The TV Stage Manager may have to work on heights and will be responsible to maintain all TV recording sets in compliance with all safety requirements as required or recommended by local overseeing agencies. The TV Stage Manager will also act as a liaison with show producers, engineers, designers and local overseeing agencies. The TV Stage Manager will test and evaluate all set equipment for proper operation and notify engineering departments of faulty equipment and make sure that all production resources are stored safely. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and look after all rigging systems.

Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. 7 to 10 years of excellent TV stage, technical, carpentry, electrical, troubleshooting and artistic skills and experience required. Must have extensive knowledge in handheld, steady cam, pedestal and JIB cameras. Demonstrated independent creative and imaginative problem-solving ability with experience in working hands-on in a studio environment and a strong desire to support the production process wherever is needed. Excellent time management skills, with a deadline orientation. Ability to work long hours in a fast paced environment. Willingness to travel and work holidays, on weekends and as needed with short notice. Honest and Dependable. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required and have the ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, twist, pull, push, work on ladders and in confined spaces. Must possess a valid CA Drivers License with good driving record.
