Results of a survey by Forrester Latin American Technographics show that less Mexicans are using broadband Internet compared to Brazilians. The survey says that the lower numbers are due to having less computer access. In addition, Brazilians use social media more. Sixty-six percent of Mexicans and 44 percent of Brazilians who are offline say that they do not use the Internet because they don't know enough about it. One third of that group say they will never go online. Seventy-five percent in each country owns cell phones, but only 8 percent are smartphones.
Mexican cartel Pacifico Sur has said that the killing of Joan Sebastian's son, Juan Sebastian Figueroa, was a result of an unsettled debt with the son of the ex-coordinator of the Policia Minsiterial de Morelos, Guillermo Vargas Rivera.
