Latinos and Digital Technology, 2010 Report Released


The Pew Hispanic Center released a new report, "Latinos and Digital Technology, 2010". The report reveals 65% of Latinos and 66% of black adults went online in 2010, compared to 77% of white adults. 45% of Latinos have broadband at home and 76% of Latinos owned a cell phone in 2010 compared to 79% of blacks and 85% of whites. "Black in Latin America" premieres on PBS on April 19th at 8 PM. The four-part series will feature Haiti, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Brazil, Mexico and Peru.

An American tourist died at a hospital in Cancun from internal bleeding after ingesting a safety pin that punctured her organs. The 24-year-old was on a Royal Carribben cruise that docked in Cozumel.

The Chipotle Mexican Grill chain has fired hundreds of allegedly undocumented workers in Minnesota as part of a federal crackdown on its immigrant labor force. The immigration inspections are expected to extend into other Chipotle markets.
