Specific findings include:
U.S. Hispanics are 58% more likely to click on search ads, compared with the general population. Six out of ten U.S. Hispanics made a purchase in a store as a result of seeing online advertisements while researching products ÔÇô 22% more than the general population. Seven out of ten U.S. Hispanics use search engines multiple times daily. U.S. Hispanics text at greater rates than the general public - 64% compared to 56%. Hispanic are becoming technology savvy which means more companies are going to be seeking bilingual talent.
The influence of Hispanics/Latinos is evident throughout American culture: music, dance, food and fashion are just a few examples of the powerful effect this market segment has on mainstream America. Given the sheer size and economic impact of the market, it's no wonder. More significantly, the community is expected to keep growing at a strong and steady clip-- by 2010, it is estimated that there will be 50 million Hispanics/Latinos or 16% of the total U.S. population. By 2050, 28% of the entire U.S. population is projected to be Hispanic/Latino (estimated to be 122 million).
2011, nearly one person out of every six living in the United States will be of Hispanic/Latino origin.
