Univision launched an English-language Twitter feed earlier this month, @Univision_News. Univision also launched an English-language soccer website in late February. Both have been soft launches and formal announcements about the new English-language ventures are yet to come.

Carlos Pascual, the U.S. ambassador to Mexico, resigned over the weekend in reaction to leaked diplomatic documents revealed via WikiLeaks in which the ambassador criticized Mexico's shortcomings in fighting drug cartels. Mexican President Felipe Calderon said the leaked cables had caused "serious damage" to U.S-Mexico relations.

Arizona's Senate defeated five illegal immigration bills last week including two measures aimed at forcing a U.S. Supreme Court ruling against automatic citizenship for children born of illegal immigrants in the U.S.

Francisco "Franky" Carrillo was released from prison last week after serving 20 years for a drive-by killing that he didn't commit. His two life-term sentence was overturned last week by a judge in Los Angeles.

San Antonio's Mexican restaurants will join forces on April 9th to break the Guinness World Record for the biggest enchilada. The record is currently held in Mexico where a 230-foot enchilada was built last year.

According to the results of a new study released by Univision "Why Latinos Look So Good", 34% of Latino men shower twice a day vs. 16% of non-Latino men. In regards to their styling products, moisturizer and fragrance purchases, 68% of Latino men say price is not a driver in their decision making process.
