A Better Life: Tropico de Nopal/Ozomatli Connection

Dear Friends:

I am forwarding this to you so that you are in the knowing and can support Chris Weitz efforts in putting forth the story - A Better Life A Better Life which opens in theatres today!

How are we involved? Chris asked Ozomatli to write the theme song for the movie. Then Ozo got a music video deal from it and asked Reyes to direct it, he did,- "Jardinero" was made and shot at Tropico (at Tropico's roof to be exact). I worked as an assistant coordinator.

You do not see, of course, the video after the movie is screened... but you can see it on Facebook Tropico or You Tube or Ozo's website and please, support the movie this weekend and tell your good friends to do it to!

now the note from Chris this morning...

From Chris Weitz - important! -- Important to me, that is.

Dearly believed LA friends, my film A Better Life is opening tomorrow (Friday the 24th) at 2 screens in New York. This means, essentially, that you and people who you inspire to attend the film this weekend can actually influence the overall life of this movie -- "per screen average" will determine whether it lives to fight another weekend or not.

I write you because you are all intelligent, physically beautiful, and influential. Without any shame, I implore you on vended e-knees to see the film and gather a posse while you're at it. It's actually, I think, pretty f... good to boot. I'm proud of it and would be delighted if you supported it.

Here are your options for viewing localities:

... And an interview with Terry Gross of NPR in which I say "mm--hmm" a lot:

Many thanks, and kisses
