Sin Turistas: Explore Highland Park

Sin Turistas workshop curriculum is designed for novice to intermediate photography skills. the group will meet in three different art galleries around highland park. participants will explore the surrounding areas to create a photographic essay that develops an individual's point of view about this changing neighborhood.

one of the goals of this workshop is to create a diverse view of highland park that explores the perceptions and the participant's voice. photographers will also have an opportunity to discuss technical issues with their camera equipment, some post-production and photoshop tips, as well as have their work critiqued in a collaborative environment by a working professional(s). participants will discuss and practice documentary and expressive image making to develop their narrative as well as be introduced to visual devices for storytelling.

through instant feedback on their own images and shooting styles, participants will acquire skills to create more compelling photographs.

join us for this walking tour of one of los angeles' oldest neighborhoods and a fun photography learning experience.
