Greasers & Gringos

On Saturday, May 31st, Esteban Zul and Paul Vato proudly revive the notorious Pocho Show, a legendary comedy showcase that ushered in the era of Malt Liquor Mexi-Madness, a guaranteed 40 ounces of fun and frolic.

Greasers and Gringos, as the new show has been dubbed, gets started at 10 p.m. In addition to all-new sketch comedy by Pocho Magazine?s Malt Liquor All-Stars and more "Barrio Speedwagon" classics from Paul Vato and Joseph Nu?ez, "Gringos and Greasers" promises "more fun and entertainment than being stripped in a Zoot Suit riot!" say hosts Esteban Zul (pictured) and Paul Vato.

Greasers and Gringos also stars musical comic Lance Barber and stand-up comic Matt Dwyer. Musical acts scheduled to appear are John "Wishbone" Wilson?the one-man house band, Latino dub stylings by Mezclah and hip-hop ambassadors F.I.L.T.H.Y. Immigrants, as well special guest DJs.

The show will be held at Smokin? Mirrors Studios located at 4928 Hollywood Blvd. at the corner of Hollywood and Kenmore. Guests are asked to use the taco shop entrance facing Hollywood Blvd. General admission is $7 and doors will open at 9:30 p.m. An after-show party with DJs and live music will begin immediately following Gringos and Greasers.

The performance inaugurates a regular series of comedy showcases featuring premier work by LA?s newest underground laugh-pack.
