Paranormal Needs No Translation on Mun2


Executive producer German Michael Torres delves into the supernatural with the launch of his new reality series, "From Beyond". The unnerving 13 episode series produced by Torres' production company GMT Films, makes its broadcast premiere on Sunday, July 31st, 2011 on mun2. Armed with paranormal detectors and electronic devices, the "From Beyond" team leads viewers into the homes of Latino families and other locations that are experiencing paranormal activity. Through personal interviews and chilling tales, real peoples' true stories are being uncovered proving that paranormal needs no translation.

German Michael Torres is passionate about the subject matter having grown-up being frightened by tales of La Llorona and El Cucuy. "As long as I can remember, hearing stories about spirits and supernatural occurrences were a part of my upbringing...if you are Latino, you can relate," said Torres, "I believe it's important to bring these stories to light." Staying true to the genre, Torres is also currently shooting a pilot entitled "Paranormal Housewives", a new kind of paranormal show for PowWow Media. In addition, the busy producer has created, developed, and produced a variety of television series, feature films, and new media, including SyFy Channel's award nominated series, "The Chronicle" with Silvio Horta ("Ugly Betty").

"From Beyond" follows a team of experts comprised of two paranormal investigators -- Christian Vera and Ramiro Ramirez -- and a medium, AJ Barrera (pictured) who investigate and document paranormal activity in Latino communities in Los Angeles. The team takes viewers on a personal journey into haunted locations, urban legends and ghost stories, tapping into everything that we don't know about the afterlife, which lies from beyond.

"From Beyond" premieres Sunday, July 31 at 10 PM ET on mun2.
