Latino Variety Show Extended

Rick Najera?s hit comedy show Latinologues, the critically acclaimed compilation of monologues portraying the comical side of Latino life in America, will run until August 30, 2003 at the Coronet Theatre in Los Angeles.

After sold-out shows and much demand, Latino comedy pioneer, Rick Najera decided to extend the show until the end of summer.

?I wanted to continue the show to provide my audience the best variety in Latino comedy,? comments Najera. ?We have the freshest Latin talent including well-known guest stars such as Fernando Carrillo, Cristian De La Fuente, Jacob Vargas and Rene Lavan.? Regular cast members include Najera himself, Fernando Carrillo, Amanda Gunderson, Monica Ortiz, Joey Bertot and LATV?s Paul Saucido and Tricia Cruz.

The show has received ?Critics Choice? and ?Top Pick? from national theater critics and has received official ?thumbs up? from Hollywood celebrities such as Forrest Whittaker, Quentin Tarantino, Tori Spelling and Mike Robles of ?Que Loco!

Latinologues, which is performed in 99% English, is written, directed and co-produced by Najera and serves as a showcase for Latino talent.

Latinologues will run through August 30, 2003 every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. at the Coronet Theatre located at 366 N. La Cienega Blvd.- one block North of Beverly Blvd. Tickets are available for $20 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) or by calling The Coronet Theatre box office at (310) 657-7377.
